International Year One and Pre-Masters Preparation programmes allow students to study in the UK under one visa

Posted 01 September 2018

The International Year One and Pre-Masters Preparation programmes at Kingston University, London – International Study Centre are now fully approved by UKVI to be on the same CAS as the subsequent university degree. With this, students will only need one visa for their whole time studying – including both their International Study Centre programme and university degree.

Without the need to return home between programmes to renew their visa, international students are able to experience life in Kingston upon Thames over the summer, without the pressures of studying. Kingston is a popular tourist destination, with many people flocking to the town in the summer months to enjoy a day on the banks of the River Thames.

Students now also have alternative options to IELTS for UKVI before joining the International Year One or Pre-Masters Preparation programmes. For those who do need to improve their English before starting their programme, we are offering a complimentary 4 to 8 week English Language Preparation course to students planning to study the International Year One. The International Study Centre offers a variety of different options for students looking to improve their English, with progression options to all our programme offerings.
